COMPETITION NOW OVER, BUT YOU CAN STILL DRAW FOR FUN! //
ABOUT COMPETITION:
One of my pieces in That Sack of Air was a piece called ‘MARKWOOD’.
In ‘Markwood’, everything in the town was footy related, from the shops to the amusement park and road markings. I had so much fun creating this imaginary world.
Here’s a little snapshot of my process:
Now, it’s your turn…
What would your very own wonderland be made up of?
Below are some tips to help you explore - I can’t wait to see what you create!
PROMPTS TO EXPLORE:
How do I feel when I’m here? (Eg. happy, curious, relaxed, inspired, silly, wild)
What are the things that make it special? (Could be a shop, a body of water, a sculpture)
Who else/what else exists here? (People, animals, plants, creatures)
CREATIVE TIPS:
Often the hardest part of any creative pursuit is starting! Dive in - make your mark, then adjust from there.
There is no such thing as a bad idea, where your idea starts is often very different from where you will end up.
Trust yourself and go for it :) Let your imagination run wild.
FIRST STEP:
OR simply start creating on your own paper/cardboard/canvas, whatever is easier for you!
LAST STEP:
Take a photo of your piece and upload below - simply follow the prompts.
Entries must be submitted by 11:59PM, SUNDAY 2ND FEBRUARY 2025.
There are no rules, guidelines or age limits. Everyone is welcome to enter.
Have fun and enjoy creating!
